The Chobots Gazette

Dear All,

Welcome to The Chobots Gazette! The purpose of the Gazette is to be a one-stop shop for everything Chobots: from guides, to news, gossip, and also for readers like yourselves to have fun!

It is always difficult to consider what to write about for a first post, but I thought I would hit the ground running with an introduction to the Gazette, and to me.

I have been a part of the Chobots community since at least 2008, participating in the .com, .de, .in, and .net iterations. I have fond childhood memories of playing Chobots and making friends, and a return to the community this year has been nothing but nostalgic.

Some of my fondest memories have included:

• Getting invited to Hiki's house party on .com - one of my first proper experiences.
• Winning a comic contest and getting the exclusive comic book item.
• Creating fun and engaging blogs on both the .com and .net iterations.
• Becoming an Agent on the .net iteration.

What is crucial now is using media and writing to ensure that new players have somewhere to go if they need a hand. When starting a new game, players often decide within the first 5 minutes if this is a game they want to play again. The Gazette will serve not just as a source for news, but as a helping hand for newer players with dedicated guides and participation opportunities.

Over the coming weeks, I will be working closely to create helpful guides as we start to open up our community more. Keep your eyes peeled on upcoming news as well, it is going to be a fun couple of months as we venture towards Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course Christmas!
